Mini Training Camp

I'm down here in Tucson for a three-day mini training camp with my coach Nick White of CTS. This is a great place to train! We had a great long ride yesterday followed by a brick run and then an afternoon pool session, I'm beat! Today we did a long trail run through Starr Pass, this is a must for anyone who like trail running or just looking for something different that pounding the pavement.

So far training has been going well and my power continues to improve, I know the importance of these early months as slow and boring as they can be.

I was pretty excited to break out my race bike, Pinarello Montello. I didn't get too much time on it last year and really feel like I just got the fit dialed in with the help of Nick and some trial and error.

I head back to cold NYC tomorrow and hope the mild winter continues so I can avoid long hours on the trainer.

The Plodding Line: Tucson is a great place to escape the cold and get in some good training...Starr Pass trail run is a must. (If you can swing it, stay at the JW Marriott Starr Pass, that was the playground is right out your door!)
