Off Season...Baby Season

Timing has worked out that my off-season coincides with the arrival of Weck. We had a party last Saturday to welcome his arrival and it was great to see so many people show up to see the little guy.
We are now at the in-laws house on long island; it has been nice to get out of the city for all of us.
The dog, Chief, is getting to run and play with the other dogs out here, most notably my brother-in-law's new Portuguese water dog puppy, Kodi; the wife is getting to relax; and I brought my bike and a good book. I have not been on the bike, been running or swimming in a few weeks. I have really been enjoying Weck and doing a lot of nothing when he is sleeping. I'll probably get on the bike this week and maybe get out for a jog because I'll start a real schedule of training next week.
I made the tough decision to cut the cord with my coach and CTS because of the layoff and the expense. I think I can cobble together a pretty good plan from the data I got last year and other background.

Happy Thanksgiving! Amidst all the turmoil, I have a lot to give thanks for this year!
