HOKA ONE ONE at 300 Miles

I put my 300th mile on my HOKA ONE ONE Stinson Tarmacs this morning and here is what those 300 miles told me about the shoes (and myself):
  1. I am fat, lazy, slow and out of shape. It took me over six months to log 300 miles in these shoes (I ran a total of almost 400 miles in that time).
  2. I was pretty right on with my initial review and still feel the same way about the shoes.
  3. These are some fun shoes to run in, especially downhill.
  4. You are not going to break any PR's wearing these sleds.
  5. Great to have a cushioned recovery and long mileage shoe in the rotation.
  6. It takes some time to get over the loss of "feel" for the road.
  7. Not recommended for ice and snow running with a poor tread pattern.
  8. I ditched the quick laces after about 50 miles as I felt the real laces gave me a better fit.
  9. The heal cup not only gave me some chafe on the sides of my achilles, but the material wore away as well.

  10. I never got over the annoyance of the internal stitching and seam by my pinky toe.
Overall, I enjoy the shoes and will be adding a new pair to the quiver.
