Writing Notes

Last week, in an interview with Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, where he was asked "asked which technology we use today will be gone a decade from now. Fountain pens was his answer."

His answer may have been tongue-in-cheek, but brought to light how impersonal we have all become in an effort to do more business, save time and 'check the box'.

I spend a good portion of my day sitting down to write notes to people. I believe the time taken to handwrite a personal note to someone means a whole lot more then firing off an email. Also, I hold those who take the time to write me a note in higher regard.
